Okay I'm feeling kinda basic today, so what score or piece of film music got you interested?
Mine was the title theme from Halloween and the entire Near Dark score.

Beware of the man who works hard to learn something, learns it, and finds himself no wiser than before... He is full of murderous resentment of people who are ignorant without having come by their ignorance the hard way.

probably the nightmare on elm street series when I was a kid. that's what got me into movie scores. Maybe angelo badalementi. I was a huge twin peaks/david lynch freak in high school.

as for collecting and sharing, I'd have to say it was the ol' inferno crypt here. it was actually the very first blogspot page i visited. I saw he had the entire unabridged Nightmare collection, and a crapload of other cool stuff, and I was hooked. I also really like Manchester Morgue, but whoever runs that never ever comments back. That sort of gets under my skin...

i'm not sure what soundtrack or score got me into it. I remember one of the earliest soundtracks i bought was i think The Crow soundtrack. I remember the day I bought it too. I was in grade school. but one of my soundtracks that I own that I cherish the most is Donald Rubinstein's Martin. But then again that's not much of a surprise if you ever checked out my Blogger profile cause i list the favorite movie as that of all time.

anyway i think Black Notes or The Manchester Morgue were the first soundtrack blogs i ever visited. Those were among that inspired me to make Inferno. Manchester's awesome. I don't know how that guy is able to pump all those posts on such a daily basis. I mean I try too but he beats me out of the water. But I gotta admit I find those "Creepy" magazine posts kinda annoying. I just want the music and he should make a separate section or something for "Creepy" and comic posts. But hey that's his blog and he's free to do what he wants. I support him either way.
He's a good guy and he's doing a commendable job.

Hmmm. Rabid, did you try the comment/request seciton of his blog for a response to your comment? i've posted there in the past and i always got a reply. try that part buddy.

btw Rabid I'm glad i got you into the soundtrack collecting/sharing "scene" :)

The very first soundtrack I ever bought was also the first album that I bought...Battlestar Galactica (1977) by Stu Phillips. Yes, besides being a horror hound I am a sci fi geek as well.

Im not sure, maybe it was the goblin soundtrack to dawn of the dead. But ive always liked soundtracks really. I just remember that one being the first one i thought was so good i went looking for ways to get ahold of it.
