i'm the administrator here and this is a private forum as you know so don't worry about getting in trouble with "the man". But can some people share some horror movie torrent sites? Let me explain my reasoning behind this if i may...

I gave up on DVD a few months ago. Shortly after Blu-ray won the format war I decided to no longer buy dvds unless absolutely necessary. I'm a poor bastard with no job (at the moment that is) and I simply can't afford to plunk down my money I have on something that will be rendered obsolete in like a year or two. More DVD companies are going Blu-ray. Like for example Dark Sky Films, Blue Underground, Anchor Bay, etc. etc. Companies that are famous for putting out horror! Not all of course are in the Blu-ray game of course but in time they will. So I don't want to have to upgrade more of what I have already to Blu-ray. I have almost 300 DVDs (mostly horror) and that's bad enough I'm gonna have to upgrade those and I don't want more to upgrade. i only have a handful of Blu-rays tho. Anyway I do plan to buy Philosophy Of A Knife Limited Edition cause it's limited and Unearthed hasn't said it'd support Blu-ray yet. And I'm dying to see it. So I ultimately decided to only download DVDs if possible unless of course i really want the DVD (ie. limited or hunch that it's not going to come on Blu-ray anytime soon). I can only really find people on torrent sites posting dvd rips with just the movie which sucks cause i want everything on the dvd extras and all! I really want to get Lucker, new Deadbeat At Dawn, Hunting Creatures,etc etc. so if you have 'em be a good chap and send it to me or better yet post here.

i also use Demonoid (But last time i checked you need a invite to get in and you need someone who's already a member to send you a invite) and look under the sub categories under DVD Full and Horror. But most are no longer seeded which sucks!!!

Why would the dvds be obsolete? All new formats nowadays are backwards compatible, so nothing becomes obsolete.

let me clarify..

what i meant by my dvds becoming obsolete i meant the picture quality, audio quality, and interactivity are surpassed now by Blu-ray. Blu-ray delivers superior quality in those departments therefore the dvds are becoming obsolete in that sense. I know they're backwards compatible. I guess I didn't make myself clear enough in the original post. Ultimately I just want the best presentation possible in terms of home video. That's why I gave up on DVD pretty much cause Blu-ray is simply better. Yeah it's still in its infancy and there's still room for improvement but it will grow and become the new standard in home video I thinks in time. I can settle for a dvd rip instead of not buying the actual DVD and save it till the Blu-ray comes out. That's when I'll serve up the cold hard cash. Hope this all makes sense.

But thanks for writing Zombie you brought up a interesting argument and it needed to be addressed but hopefully my reply here will answer it.
